Were most defiantly In a time of obesity fast becoming an epidemic in Britain and the number of over weight Adults and Children is on the increase every year. What can be done to stop it and Who’s to blame for our Children becoming this way as early as 2 Years old?
Everybody has their own views and opinions about how Britain can tactile the ever growing obesity problem. Anita and Marcelo both agree that parents need to take the driving seat in this very serious matter. It’s fantastic that there are places like the Carnegie training Camps in Leeds, set up for Obese Children wanting to lose weight and be re-educated about how to live a healthier lifestyle. Also schemes in schools encouraging parents to walk their children to School instead of driving etc…. and Anita and Marcelo are all in favour of this kind of help and encouragement provide by various organisations throughout the UK. However having said all that They both feel the key point to driving Obesity Down long term has to start in the Home, Parents must be more responsible and begin educating their Children from very early on about the importance of eating nutritional food everyday and taking regular exercise. Samuel Ramos who is only 6 Years old is already very aware of the difference between Healthy food and Junk food and he likes eating Healthy food because He understands that it good for his body and brain to stay healthy. Children Samuel’s age absorb information like a sponge and if you give Children good information about healthy eating and healthy living you’re supplying them with the right tools to make good food chooses in their Adult life.
The Ramos Families 5 top tips to getting fit:

Number 1: “expose yourself to Nutritional Food” Empty your cupboards of all the snack and junk foods and replace them with fruit, veg and healthy options. If you then feel hungry in between meals when you look in your cupboard you’ll only have health options to choose from.
Number 2: ”Don’t skip Breakfast “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day not only does it speed up metabolism it also helps with concentration and memory which is especially good if you have a job where you need to remain focused and excellent for Children to focus on their lessons in School.
Number3: ”Regular Exercise” (If you don’t have any medical problems or conditions that are going to affect you exercising). Once every 2 weeks isn’t enough, 3 to 4 times a week is classed as regular Exercise. This can sound like a lot to some people who aren’t use to exercising but if you find a sport or activity you enjoy it won’t seem like hard work and it will be much more enjoyable and rewarding if it something you like taking part in. Remember their are qualified fitness instructors in sports centres who will be more than happy to put a training program together for you. Remember this should always be done in a sensible way, so you progressively increase the amount of training you do to suit your current fitness.
I know in the current climate there are going to be Families out there who might not have spare cash to pay for sport and activity classes 3 or 4 times a week but remember going for a run or a walk together as a Family doesn’t cost a penny, so there’s really no excuse for not keeping in shape.

Number 4: “Drink plenty of Water” There are so many reasons why we need to drink plenty of water everyday , with regards to losing weight, when you exercise you lose a lot of fluid so to avoid dehydration you need to replace your body with the water lost during exercise. Also if your body is dehydrated it slows down the fat burning process in your body, so if your wanting to lose a few extra pound folks drink lots of Water!
Number 5: ”Have a positive outlook on life” Don’t let everyday things pull you down and try not to get overly stressed, which I know is easier said than done! Take time out to relax on your own and also as a Family. Anita and Marcelo always make time on a Sunday to do something fun with Jordan and Samuel”.
